"Twelve Spiders" 5" Diameter Carved & Painted October 2001

Twelve images from my P3 drawing "Spiders", carved and painted on the surface of a 127 mm (5 inch) diameter composite ball.   The interlocking figures are projected onto the eight faces of a spherical octahedron.   There is two-fold rotation at each of the six vertices of the octahedron, and three-fold rotation at the center of each of its eight faces.
